Yes I did read some article on this...I also read about low magnesium levels affect us as well, we can not absorb Vit D without it...and so many r dx'd with low D levels and given a RX of D and it never goes up...this may be a reason.
But to keep it in the digestive vein, low magnesium also affects so many with IBS...and not enuff attention is being paid to ne of this.
Magnessium glycinate by KAL is a really good product. Helps with the digestive tract, muscles and the whole nervous system. Taken before bed you wake very refreshed.
How do these have to do with histidine suppliments? that as the topic here!
Magnesium is related, which you did not mention in your post, so settle down. Magnesium is a natural way to increase histamine. Low MG = low histamine. Most Americans are low in Mg. So if you want to up your histamine, thats one way - and a good magnesium supliment is good for the whole digestive tract as well as the gut lineing.

I just read that:
"Magnesium, selenium, and calcium are among the minerals that can work to promote antihistamine actions"... that is counter intuitive to your statement... they should be taken to LESSEN allergy symptoms which are caused by increased histamine...
L-histadine is an amino acid whose secretion takes priority over the secretion of histamine.
