post surgery experience for Linx procedure

My wife is experiencing significant pain-a kind of spasm-when she tries to eat or drink a week after surgery here in  Arizona.  Is this a common development?

Thank you for your response to my inquiry.  My wife had the Linx  procedure done which entails the use of a magnetic ring around the base  of the esophagus.  But your suggestion about the use of Dicychomine is one that we will follow up on.

I had the TIF fundoplication and you have to follow the diet very strictly for the 6-8 weeks.  If you try to eat something not on the diet it will hurt.
Ask the doctor if she can take Dicyclomine for the spasms.  It usually works immediately for esophageal spasms.
        Wishing you the best.

We have and they say you just have to endure for weeks.  Would like to hear from someone who has had the Linx surgery.

This is a good question for the surgeon.  He expects you to call with questions.
