Is severe chest pain normal after a bravo procedure?

I just got the Bravo procedure done yesterday and I am having severe chest pain that worsens while eating. It is unbearablea and now I don't want to drink or eat anything at all, which defeats the purpose of having this capsule in me. I called my doctor and told him what was going on. He said that it wasn't normal so he gave me pain killers because there was nothing else he could do to fix the pain. I am allergic to pain killers, so after taking them, I have hives all over my body, and they didn't relieve any of the pain! What should I do?

Sorry u r having discomfort...breathing issues can lead to panic...try to relax as best u can.

They said that they should be able to get the info from the previous days. I haven't been able to contact my doctor yet, but I will be seeing him Tuesday, so I'll keep you updated! Although, I don't have the horrible pain when I eat or drink anymore, my chest is very tight, constricting my breathing. I don't know which is worse?

Hi....I saw ur mood post that the Bravo fell off.....sorry that it didn't stay put and caused so much pain...where they able to get ne info?

Did ur dr say what caused it to dislodge?

Hi and welcome to the GERD forum.

I am sorry u r having so much pain....and that I can not even begin to offer a suggestion as to what to do....u already did contact the dr. Is he aware of ur allergy? If not u need to call him back.

Hopefully someone with a similar issue will comment.
