Non-Erosive Gastritics

I have been suffering with Heartburn certainly after taking a antibiotic medicine in the last 3 weeks. I did consult the Gastro specialist and did for endoscopy as well.
Antrum - Non Erosive Gastrities
Urease - Negative.

After the above endoscopy, the doctor prescribed the medicine "lanzoprazole 30mg" 2 times a day. I am taking this medicine for the last 1 week. but last night i suffered lot with pain in the abdominal just above the belly button.
ALso having the severe senstation (like pin and needle) under the arm and hands along with heart burn..

This is the first time i am having this issue, and i am worried about this.
Much appreciated if you can advise further. I will have the repeat appoitnment with doctor next week.

thanks
sam

Hi,

Also. if ok with your Dr adding something like acidopholus into your diet is a great way to help the bacteria that the antibiotics destroyed.

Will your Doc allow something like Gavscon but if so, space it out with the meds.

HI and welcome to the GERD forum.

Sometimes it can take awhile for the meds to appear effective, plus u do need to watch ur diet in addition to being on the meds.

It is possible to have too little acid in ur stomach and it can cause the same symptoms.....

Give the meds some more time and try the diet and lifestyle changes  suggested in our Health Pages here on MedHelp.
