Your diagnose is frankly confusing. It is possible that you have an allergy to to the filler found in Omeprazole, but John987 is on the money, it's the same drug.
I'm a longtime heart patient, and I assure you, your chest pains don't sound like a cardiac event. I've had surgery for GERD problems, and your symptoms don't match what I experienced. It more sounds like anxiety symtoms. Anxiety is a serious condition, and I wouldn't dismiss it. Best wishes, keep up informed.
Looks like Not all the issues I have are on my list.
I missed the following too
- lower backpain.
- neck
- seems like I gained weight.
- stomach feels hard
- light headed
It's a long list, and it's just insane that it can be caused by 1 thing.
I did had some tests one last year, and there was 1 valve that didn't close all the way, since it was misformed, and surgery would most likely not help.
Any input is appriciated
ps. When I looked into the Extreme side effects, it does show those items.
I did tell the Doctor and she put me back on the Accephex. Need to pick them up today.
Yes I am on Omeprazole. the Pharmacy did gave me prylosec that was over the counter first.. don't know if that makes any difference.
When I started taking that, in about 3 months i went to the ER.
then I was fine for about 6 months, and then it started again.
Did go to the ER again, and they couldnt find anything. everything looked good.
Went to the doctor, since it didn't go away, and I still have it daily.
But could it be a cause, that it takes 3 months and then it;s gone for 6 months ?
Nothing else got changed in my daily activities.
While GERD could cause a few symptoms you describe it's unlikely it's causing the shaky, anxious, sweaty feelings. A reaction to meds can however including an allergic response that mimics panic attacks or heart problems. When you say that Prilosec didn't work out but you are on omeprazole? It's the same medicine--omeprazole is the generic. If Aciphex works and doesn't cause side effects, that might be a solution unless something else is going on. I'd alert my primary care doctor and let him/her work on this with you.
