Upset stomach

Hi I don't know if I am putting this question in the right category but I had the stomach flu bad on Thursday last week putting me out of work Thur and Fri. I was feeling much better Sat through Monday but yesterday and today I have been feeling nauseas(SP?) again and don't know if it's related.

I've had stomach problems and am taking Prilosec to help treat it. I'm used to getting my upset stomach during the night but now this had occured during the day yesterday and this morning. I don't know what to do or think.

Hi..sorry u r feeling poorly.May I assume that u were dx'd with GERD since u r taking prilosec?.....is this under a drs orders ?Or r  u buying it OTC?

Also r u taking these meds as per the directions?Is it possible that ur diet is alot of acid based items?

If u have been to the dr with ur issues, I suggest u disscuss ur concerns with him/her.

We can continue to offer support, but that will not ease ur stomach issues.I hope u continue to post here and give an update on ur condition.

Hi Selma,

I was sort of diagnosed with GERD, the doctors aren't completely sure what is going on with me so they are having me take a double dose(two pills a day) for a month to see if that will heal my stomach. They said if that doesn't work, then they will have to put a scope down to my stomach to see what is wrong.

And as for my diet, I have basically cut out everything that could cause my stomach to become upset. I don't eat tomatoes, garlic, onion, citris fruits/drinks, dark soda, chocolate...etc. My diet is pretty bland..oatmeal and toast for breakfast...chicken or something similar for lunch or a salad and then around the same kind of thing for dinner. And I don't do beef.

I have faith in the Prilosec...I just have to wait now. Thank you for your support Selma.

HI Kristy,

U r welcome, u seem to be on the right path...I am sure u will see a difference once u r on the meds a while....do not skip a dose....I can notice it right away if I miss.

Have u also been check for a Hiatial hernia and post nasal drip?

Keep us posted how the meds work and how u r feeling.
