What is wrong with my stomache?

I am a 19 year old male and for the last year almost I have had constant stomach problems. I always have an uncomfortable feeling in my stomach and when I eat, or if i don't eat for a while my stomach makes me very nauseous  Sometimes (usually in the morning when I wake up) my stomach really hurts and I can feel as if i have pop rocks in the back of my throat. I can gear them and feel them. I have went to a stomach doctor and was tested for stomach ulcers twice and came back negative. I was givin an ultrasound and a upper GI barium swallow and all test came back negative and I was told I was fine. Then they told me that I must have acid reflux, but when I take Nexium or Prilosec nothing helps. Is there anyone that can recommend something? Or have anything to suggest to my doctor? It is very unbearable and has caused me to become very depressed. Also occasionally I feel a sharp pain in my stomach when I breath in. I have had all tests done, and have been perscribed 8+ medications to try and help, and still nothing. I dont drink much alcohol due to my age and if I do, its beer, which upsets my stomach for a short time and then usually feels better. Please someone help. I cant keep dealing with this.

HI Drew and welcome to the GERD forum.

I am not sure how long u were on the meds as they do take some time to be effective.
Also, lifestlye changes as well as foods to avoid along with the meds and u will see a difference...sometimes u can stop meds as long as u keep up with the diet changes and lifestlye tips.

Were u tested for h. pylori? celiacs?

Beer is alcohol and will affect ur stomach issues...try to avoid until u resolve the issues and then only in moderation.(at whatever is the legal age where u r at)

There are also other meds that may work for u...what u mentioned are PPI's.....proton pump inhibators...mayb u can ask ur dr about histamine inhibators like pepcid but as an rx strenght.

I also have diarrhea, gas, I also have bad headaches almost if not everyday.
