I know that I have acid reflux. I am asking about my sore throat because over the past few months I have had multiple times of my throat hurting. It is usually only on one side of my throat and it feels like I am either swallowing glass or it is just irritated from being rubbed. I no longer have my tonsils, and there is only a fever sometimes. The pain lasts from a couple of days to about a week. I also have slightly swollen lymph nodes. Could this just be caused by my acid reflux?
If the acid goes higher than the esophageal sphincter, then yes, it can absolutely cause a sore throat or dry cough and hoarseness. However, lymph node activity is a sign of fighting an infection. Have you had this addressed by a doctor?
