It takes me quite a long time to get to pass motion, and if it comes its too hard. My stomach is growing bigger and weight is increasing. Its abnormal. My daughter has the same problem but the rest are okay. I get acidity and heart burn bothering me as well.
Please someone suggest something. I am 50 yrs old, 250lb, 5.9 ft tall. BLood, sugar, urine and blood pressure normal.
Your concerns are very similar to mine. Fiber is a great idea...BUT...DO NOT take laxatives !!!!!! To soften BM's, I use MyraLax...its a tasteless, clear powder that you can mix in ANYTHING you drink. Grape juice is good. Have you had an x-ray of your abdomin? This should be something you need to do. I was diagnosed with Diverticulosis and have the same moving problems.
Please try to stay away from pasta, unless its vegetable pasta (spinach, etc..). Cheeses and breads, fried foods, red meat....all the good stuff are BAD for the digestive system when dealing with constipation and/or irregularity.
Why NOT laxatives? They have powerful chemicals that will cause severe cramping and your colon will become dependant on them. Stool softeners are much more preferred. IMPORTANT: Going for walks will help move things around.
I also use AcuPressure...a light massage in circular motions, deep enough that you can "feel" it moving gas. Start on the right lower side and go up (making circles with the 3 middle fingers) to just below the rib cage. Go across the top of your tummy and then down the left side. The left side is the part of the colon that connects to the rectum (most problems occur here). Repeat until your hands gets tired, then using your whole hand, repeat massage, in larger circles. Be sure you are wearing loose clothes and are in a relaxing place.
I have also used warm compresses...NOT HOT. But FIRST...get the fiber in your diet! Apple sauce, raisins, Wheaties cereal, oatmeal (a biggie) and natural juices.
I would say Prune juice...but I am not a hippocrit...LOL...prune juice is not a juice I can handle. But some do like it...if you do, give it a try.
Good luck and please be careful...see your doctor.
