Digestive disease

I had Nissen Fundoplication surgery about 6 weeks ago.  I still feel there is a lump in my throat and I get very nauseated after eating anything. When should this feeling go away?

I'd think that it would depend on what you are eating when you get the sensation of the lump in the throat.  After I had the procedure, I was advised and followed the advise to eat very soft foods for three months.  If you are eating foods like beefsteak or pork roasts that are causing your symptoms, I'd certainly back off of that kind of diet.  That said, if you have the symptoms after eating foods like noodles, small pasta, Instant Breakfast, etc., then it's possible that either the wrap is too tight or you are having a problem with your ability to swallow foods (a condition most doctors address before the NF procedure).  Keep us informed.

Hi,  I am so sorry u still do not feel well. I did not have this procedure, but we do have a few members that have I am sure they will share their info and experience with u.

Some of us tend to heal slower then others and u must take ur time and ease back into a reg diet.

Good luck
