U r wecome Traci.
Just some info I found out recently is, when taking PPI u can eliminate too much acid and have the same symptoms as if u still had too much acid.
Be very cautious with self medicating and do see a dr for guidance.
Please post an update on ur progress.

Hi, Thak you so much for writing back to me. I will follow all directions right away. I hate going to doctor's when it isn't necessary, but I guess this is. I have been taking Pepsid Complete for a very long time and it was working, but all of a sudden within the last month or so, it just doesn't cut it at all. I guess I knew I needed to go...just didn't want to, but I will. Thank you so much for your advice. Take care, Traci
Hi and welcome.
What u r describing is asperation.....it is never good to get fluids of nekind in ur lungs, but acid...really not good. Please see ur dr ASAP.
Until u get in to see ur dr, ask ur pharmacist about an OTC med and follow the instructions...we also have a lifestyle changes list included in our Health pages.
U will want to follow that as well...tips include foods to avoid, elevating the head of ur bed...not eating at least 3 to 4 hrs prior to going to bed....no smoking....ect.
Acid reflux many times is the result of other conditions like a hiatial hernia, or a thyroid condition.....post nasal drip...so u do need to see ur dr and also take care of ur root issues to keep the acid reflux from reoccurring.
Please post an update of ur progress.
