severe back pain

i have had GERD for almost 10 years and always am told the same thing by docters about changing diet weightloss blah blah blah.. i have changed diet more then once and still it seems i have such bad acid reflux that i end up on the floor crying cause it feels like im getting stabbed in the back with pain from it. Does anyone else have pain like this cause the specialist's i have seen all look at me like im crazy!!!

I've heard a couple of cases who have described pain
with the same "getting stabbed in the back"...
though they don't get so severe "attacks" very often.
Is it due to spasms in the esophagus or ....??

Hi and welcome to the GERD forum.

It appears that changing diet isn't the issue as making the diet a  permanent change.Lifestyle changes and avoiding the foods that affect u is most important.

We do have a list of foods to avoid...foods that can cause ur system to create too much acid and then ur pains.
