shortness of breath with prilosec?

I have been put on amoxicillin, biaxin and prilosec for suspected h.pylori. I have had a hard time taking a lot of meds, including PPI's and H2 blockers. I recently stopped Pepcid due to dizziness and hallucinations, and found that it had also been the cause of unexplained itching and right leg pain (all subsided when I stopped the med). I have had chest pain on Nexium and zantac. Now that I am on the Prilosec, I am having shortness of breath, chest tightness, dizziness, and malaise. Is this serious? If I have H. Pylori, I want to fix that problem, but am worried that the respiratory involvement and chest pain/tightness might turn into something serious. Zantac has fewer symptoms, and the chest pain is less severe. Will it be effective if I take that with the abx, instead of the PPI? Doctors all look at me like I am crazy when I give them the list of symptoms I have on these "safe" meds.
What are your thoughts??

How long have you been on the antibiotics for the suspected h.pylori? One course should fix it if you do have it. If you don't feel better, tell the doctor you want to  stop the anitbiotics. Try Zantac Effervescent, just 1/2 tab dropped in water till it dissolves when you feel bad - it works straight away; not like taking regular doses of tablets.Take a couple a day if you feel it helps and see how you get on. The antibiotics will often upset your stomach (I can't tolerate any for more than 3 days because they make me feel like I want to DIE).
PPI also upsets me worse because it's the wrong thing.
As Selma says, probiotics are good to help restore your balance after the drugs upset it all.
One last thing (I have suffered for years with GERD, ulcers, colitis, duodenitis, eosophogitis - get the picture?) and have tried EVERYTHING! I'm drug intolerant and get every side affect there is. Go to the Health store and buy some SLIPPRY ELM POWDER. Mix a teaspoon full in water and gulp it down. Take it a few times aday and before bed. Try this for a few days, and I am sure it will really help. It really is worth a try! Kev

Hi...call ur dr ASAP when ever u have a med reaction.

Since u r on an antibiotic may I ask if u ever had a yeast infection?....this alone can cause breathing issues...

All meds have lists like that, and not all meds work for everyone the same....u do need to rid urself of the H.Pylori, once the H.Pylori is cleared up make sure u had a PH test to be sure u have a high PH content  or if it is low...u can have the same symptoms regardless of the amount so it is best to have this checked....the using of antibiotics kills all bacteria, the good as well as the bad and we need the good to break down our foods....so u may continue to not feel well. Many times a probiotic after a antibiotic treatment can help get  ur system back in balance.
