Well the dr. thinks it is causing the acid reflux.
My next appt. is next week.
The nurses are no help because they don't know what it is either, already asked.
oh well, thanks anyway
Well I am not a dr, but I will help u look for the info...try calling the drs nurse and ask if she can get the correct spelling...they need to have it right in ur file and for insurance purposes.
So ur hernia is in ur lungs...not ur digestive track?.....I will look again and get back to u.

I was diagnosed with acid reflux four years ago. I took Prevacid the first year, but my insurance denied my second prescription, saying that Tums works just as well. It doesn't. Three weeks ago I went to an internist with chest pain, racing heart, etc. He took x-rays, blood tests, and did an EKG. He showed me the x-ray with a whitish area over the lower lobe of my right lung and said it was a "chiadecky"; and explained it as a type of hernia. I asked how to spell it, but he didn't know. I spelled it phonetically. He looked at what I wrote and said "yeah" that's close enough. He told me to "go read about it on the Internet". I can't find it, probably because I can't spell it. He wants to send me to a specialist to get a barium swallow and a liver biopsy because my enzymes are too high (SGOT-105). I'd like to know what this really is. Can you help?
Hi and welcome to the forum.
I am sorry I am not familiar with the term Chiadecky hernia either, nor could I find ne thing on one.
Is it possible that u miss understood what he said?....I would ask for some info on it from his nurse.
Please update us on more info....
Also what types of symptoms do u have?
