what do results mean

I had egd yesterday and the results were Hiatus Hernia, Gastritis that was biopsied, non-bleeding erosive gastropathy, and duodenitis.  The cause appears to be from NSAIDS.  My stomach hurts terribly.  I was told to take sucalfate tablets 1 gram 4 times a day indefinitely.  It hurts when I eat anything and now all I am allowed to drink is water.  I have already been taking this medicine for 2 weeks, and before that while I was still taking nsaids 1 nexium a day for 4 months along with pepto bismal.  Is there anything I can drink that is allowed and how long before the pain goes away.  I have not found anyone else who is diagnosed with all this.  The pictures also showed ulcers.  Help please.

is not gastropathy somthing to do with the liver? have the specilist advised youto get checked by a liver specialist? because i have had the same results and i am being refered to a liver specialist for the gastropathy

I am not a dr, just someone like u looking for answers and support.

I am not very familiar with ur condition as a result of non-steriodal anti inflaamitory meds....may I ask y u were taking them? What other condition do u have?

From my experience with gerd in general...it does take time to eliminate the acid with meds and life style changes. I am so sorry u have such pain and that I have no deff answers.

I would talk with ur gastro dr or a pharmacist to see what u may drink outside of water and what might help.For me ginger tea has been helpful, but I do not know with all of ur issues if that is something u should try...again talk with ur dr or pharmacist.

I do have a hiatal hernia also...I was told it would not cause much in the way of symptoms, but I do get bad flares of gerd and all the lovely symptoms of it.

The sucralfate tablets are for ur ulcers....what r u taking for the acid in general...are u on ne PPI's? I am not advocating u get and take some..only asking if ur dr has addressed this issue and wonder what else u might be on.

I pray u find relief soon.....try meditation for relaxing to rid ur self of ur anxiety.
