December of 2011, gallbladder surgery performed, three week later I had a drain tube removed which I understand was a tee into the duct. Upon removal of the tube approximately a month later, the surgeon inflated the tube which nearly made me pass out from the most excruciating pain I had ever experienced. I could hardly breath or speak and the surgeon could not understand why I was experiencing such pain. This pain centered under my right shoulder blade and felt like a hot knife penetrating my lung.
Five months later I had the first of many attacks which started in the center of my rib cage and as it worked around the right side, the pain increased and settled under my right shoulder blade duplicating what took place when the surgeon removed the drain tube. This episode went on for over two hours and by the time I reached the emergency room, it started to go away. EKG, ultra sound, X rays, blood tests and angioplasty performed. All turned up negative.
Since, I went to a specialist who apparently reviewed my x-rays from the hospital where the surgery was performed and ordered me to go to emergency and make sure that I have them perform blood work the next time I have an occurrence.
When I eat pasta, such as spaghetti, a few hours later the pain begins and as soon as it reaches under my right shoulder blade, it will slowly go away. I am not bothered by any other food that I know of.
I would appreciate any advice regarding this matter.
