Pain after gallbladder removal

Hello I just had my gallbladder removed yesterday by laproscopic (Cholecystectomy) . I am very sore of course but have been walking about three blocks a day. I was kept over night and have a drainage bag because my gallbladder was infected. I also have a lot of swelling and pain in my right side. I think this is due to the co2. I was wondering if any one else has any ideas that will help with the swelling, discomfort and getting the gas passed asap so I can get some relief here lol. I am very sore in my arms and shoulder area plus I have gained 7 pounds since my surgery. I am open to any and all ideas. I also have other health problems like hashimoto's disease and herniated disc and nerve damage in my legs just to give you some back ground info. I have been a member for a year. Thank you for your time.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Pots surgery it may take some time for the bowel to recover from the anesthetic effect. Once this wears off, the bowel movements should return and this should reduce the flatulence and distension.  Also, go slow on your oral intake. Start with broths and soups and slowly add soft well cooked food and if tolerated proceed to normal diet.  Take yogurt with your meals. But if the symptoms are worsening or are not getting better please consult your doctor.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
