Recovery time

How much time can I expect to be out of work after laparoscopic gallbladder surgery?  I get a different answer from each person/doctor I talk to.  I am a secretary and can keep from any type of lifting for whatever time I need to.

Approximately one third of patients are back to work within the week. Pretty much everybody by two weeks. We typically don't restrict patients physically after laparoscopic cholecystectomy so it 's really whenever you feel up to it.

I would say 7-10 days with no complications. My friend was back to work after a week. I felt good on day 3, better on day 5 and could have gone back to work on day 7 (if I had a Job).

I just made sure I wasn't lifting or bending...... and kept on top of any pain/discomfort......
