Stop Omerprazole while starting an antibiotic to reduce risk of C-Diff?

Concern because PPI’s stop acid in stomach which kills bad bacteria. Antibiotics then upset balance allowing bad bacteria to take over

I would be wary of stopping any medication prescribed by your physician without talking to them first.  My father is actually facing a similar issue, and it was recommended to supplement with probiotics instead.  Here's an article that supports the use of probiotics to prevent C. difficile: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4769010/
