I am hypothyroid, and I have a goiter also.I get the same symtoms as you do.I was diagnosed with GERD 15yrs ago.You probably do have GERD because under active thyroid can cause digestive problems. It's responsible for a good part of your of your metabolism ( digestion).Don't doubt it you may have GERD.Take some pepsid ac 1 hour before you eat .Just try it.

no all the ENT said was acid reflux was causeing all the symptoms but the odd part is i have this doc saying the goider is small and i have a fat pad but my remotoligest says i have a rather large goiter ,,,, , the odd part about the whole thing is i never would have thought i had acid reflux  i have never had a issue with acid no discomfort in my throut , and i can lay flat with out any issue i have trouble swoling and chokeing  on liquids , and some food like it gets stuck , and i havent heard of anyone with these same problems that are not haing the others, if that makes any since, its it is acid reflux so be it but it doesnt sound right

I too have been told I have acid reflux and I don't suffer from heartburn.  After doing some research and reading what other have said, it's possible to have reflux without having the classic symptoms.  Were you diagnosed with laryngopharyngeal reflux? That causes problems with your throat and can affect your voice.
