Stomach bug now recurring nausea before bowel movement/gas?

Came down with either stomach bug or food poisoning (diarrhea, vomitting [mostly dry heaving]) Feb 3, heaving stopped within 4 hours diarrhea kept on for a few days (Had this same thing  almost exactly a month before and then 2 months before that). Since this last episode I have had issues with nausea before bowel movements. I feel like I want to gag/dry heave about 20-30 minutes before I have a BM and sometimes it even just gas causing me to feel the nausea and is relieved for the most part afterwards. BM is fine, solid, maybe more frequent now then I used to. Going on for about a month now, any ideas?
