Swollen lower stomach

My daughter was in a car accident and suffered bruises and soreness from the seat belt.  Now on her left side over her hip, her stomach is swollen and feels like fluid and is tender to the touch.  What could be causing this?  There is no discoloration to the skin in the area, just very puffy.

For the past 2 months by abdomen has been swollen, i cant suck it in and it feels hard. I got the implant 1 month ago and the doctor said that the implant is the cause, but i had it a month before i got the implant. When i lay down it still sicks out but not as badly and when i lay on my side it goes soft. What could this be?

Did she get medical treatment after the accident?  She may have some kind of an internal injury, and shouldn't wait to see a doctor.  Why wait?
