Careful, The test for C-Diff is often "positive" when you do not even have the disease. The anti-biotic for that condition is extremely strong and can reak havick on your system w/o correcting the problem.
I hope you do not have this or a fals positive either. i was tested for and had a false positive when my gi specialist was away on vacation. i was on the dreadful metalic tasting, tongue inflamming biotic for one week, b4 he came back and stopped the process by doing a sigmoid and advising me i did not have c-diff.
Sounds like u have Ulcerative Colitus, Possibly Chrones or maybe IBS all by itself.
If you can have u'r gi guy do a stool test and bloodwork to look for a bacterial problem, overgrowth or fungal problem, yeast problem. All due to diet and stress.
This is what your symptoms sound like.
Good luck, u'r in my thoughts.
take care
Ask to be tested for C Difficil. Have you recently taken an antibiotic? C Diff is an intestinal bug (super bug) that will case these symptoms. Usually you will see it after taking an antibiotic which wipes out the good bacteria in the intestinal track, then the C Diff takes over giving severe diarrhea, blood, mucous, gas, cramps, 104.5 fever, very sick. I had this and it took 8 months on Flagyl to get rid of it. Do not take the Flagyl, it takes too long. There is another antibiotic available (more expensive) faster to kill it. There is also a new, more severe C Diff now. This is really bad stuff. If you haven't taken an antibiotic recently or have a high fever, not certain what it is. Could be a mild case?? Not certain if the new "improved" bug can give symptoms without taking the antibiotic. By the way there are only a couple antibiotics that can touch this bug.
If you have it or not...........start taking high doses of probiotics...a good one. Go to a health food store. Eat yogurt with ACTIVE cultures....lots of it if you can. Probiotics can sometimes help with food poisoning too.
Sounds like you may need another Dr.
It's much cheaper to ask you and probably just as reliable. I need to change doctors. But thanks for letting me know I should ask my doctor, something I never would have thought of.
I mean ask the doctor who prescribed it,it should be free .
You should ask your doctor, why are you asking us?
read him the label/
I would wait. And if the bleeding gets real bad during the weekend I would go to the ER instead. If it stays the same, I would wait until monday and find another doctor and ask for a new colonscopy. 2 years is a long time, and you might have IBD.
Insist on a new colonscopy.
