pain about two or three inches to the right of my belly button

do i have hepatitis

i press on my liver, and it doesnt seem to hurt. last week i ate a great deal of rich foods. i also drank alittle more then usual. it started hurting about last friday...do you guys think it could be my liver. i went to the doctor, and they said that jaundice, or extreme symptoms usually occur when you get hepatitis. i had a one time unprotected sex...and the doc said it was too low, of a risk that it couldnt have been hepatitis b, and that maybe it was my gall bladder. need help..goin in for an ultrasound pretty soon. any suggestions?

Hey Travis -

Just read your situation and I was wondering...have you ever been diagnosed for metabolic syndrome (Syndrome X)?  I'm asking because I was and I too have gout at a young age (31) along with upper abdominal region discomforts (fatty liver diagnosis).

Individuals with Syndrome X usually have high blood pressure/low HDL/high triglycerides/high uric acid (gout)/overweight w/ large waist circumference (ie. gut)/high glucose levels.  With Syndrome X comes a greater chance at having fatty liver.

Anyways, not a diagnosis for you but just something that you may want to look into for your gout/abdominal aches.

Hope you feel better!
