Common bile duct dilated

I recently had an MRI with contrast on my lower lumbar spine which revealed my already dilated bile duct 9mm is now dilated to 13mm in less than two months.  Its been measuring around between 9-11mm since 08.  I have been feeling very nauseated for the past few months so I was wondering if the this could have anything to do with it. my liver enzymes are fine at last check.  Just seems I can't eat normal, I'm nauseated atleast 3 times a week and my stomach feels very tender.   sometimes I have a slight temperature too.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.     I had my gallbladder removed in 2003 because of sludge.  I continued to have terrible attacks and in 2008, I was hospitalized with my liver enzymes over 1000 and lipase slighted elevated as well.  Since then i have had 2 endoscopes, MRCP, cat scans, ultra sounds MRI's.  I was stable at 9mm for 4 years.  What is causing it to dilate again?

Thank you,

Susie

Sounds like a good idea to get a gastric emptying scan.  Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

That's what really makes no sense to me.  I haven't changed anything yet I feel nauseated atleast 3 times a week.   My stomach is tender to the touch as well.  I just had liver function test done and all my blood work looks fine.  I have bile duct spasms around once a week now.  I was having them everyday and I have them when I'm stressed.    I can always feel them coming on.  I have just started seeing a digestive doctor again who wants me to have an emptying scan.   Thank you for asking.   I just want to know whats going on.  It was really scary when they told me my MRI was abnormal and that my bile duct was dilated more.

thank you again.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  I'm not sure what could be causing it to dilate.  Have you had any recent changes like dietary changes?
