i am currently taking diflucan for candida that was found in my throat. i have been getting headaches the past few days (i am on day 10 or 11 of my dosage), but i have a few extraneous factors that could also be contributing to the headaches. my dosage is 150mg and i am on it for 15 days in a row. i have experienced no stomach upset, though i also have gastroparesis and am a bit messed up in my stomach to begin with!
i'd call your doctor. no sense toughing it out if it's a symptom of a much larger problem, you know?

Hi JCmcc,
Well candida has many names but is commonly known as a yeast infection. Diflucan is the most common treatment for a yeast infection. It should only be 1 dosage by oral treatment. What did you Doctor actually give you? Do you have the name of it? Is it Fluconazole? Some adverse reactions and side effects to this pill are: headaches, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, nausea, and vomitting. If you are taking any antidepressants or anything with benzodiazepines it can increase the effects from this medication. If this is vagubak candidiasis then it should just be a 150mg -single dosage. If any of your symptoms have gotten worse or if you notice any dark urine, unusual fatigue, if your diarrhea becomes pronouced, abdominal pain becomes unbearable, fever, nausea or vomitting do not improve after a few days of using this medication, please see your physician again as soon as possible.
I hope this helps in some way!
Feel Better!
