Esophagus spasms

Has anyone here ever had Esophagus spasms and if so, can anyone describe them to me?

Can you describe your symptoms?

These symptoms can be quite different from person to person.  Look at a couple of threads about "reflux" or "reflux esophagitis" for descriptions of some symptom groups.

There can be a range of ways to describe them depending upon the person. Some say they feel vague 'flutters' in the middle of the chest. Others seem to feel a tight band wrapped around their chests. Some people experience pain that resembles a heart attack, up the chest, into the jaw and the shoulder/arm.
