How long will these symptoms last?

I have had bad diarrhea for last 4 days which sometimes has red blood in. I went to doctor who just said it was bacterial infection and I am on antibiotics. In the last 24 hours i am going less frequently but it is still like diarrhea. Does this mean the infection is getting better or should I go back to doctor? 2 days ago I was on toilet every 20 minutes for most of day, in the past 24 hours I have only been 6 times and the stool is less watery but still some blood

I had clostridium difficile or c-diff.  You might needed to find out about it.

Antibiotics normall take a few days to become effective so I would suggest that after say ~4-5 days - if there is no improvement -  you should revisit your doctor.

Rectal bleeding is never normal and should always be investigated - eventually with a colonoscopy if the doctor cannot definitely attribute the cause to one of the minor ones such as anal fissure or haemorrhoids.
