Smilie, sorry if I worried you. I'm fine, just been busy. It's nice to know someone cares! :)
I sent you a pm. Thanks for thinking of me.

Gwen,
I'm assuming the stuff was already mixed with water in the gallon container or you added water into the gallon container, which it is indeed supposed to be mixed with a certain amount of water and shaken before drinking. But I suppose it is possible the water/mix ratio was off or it wasn't blended well enough or the instructions given you were incorrect, and you wound up with a big dose of the mix without enough water, and thus maybe the ER docs are right, you were dehydrated. But it is also possible you may have had an allergic reaction to the medicine, especially because of your symptom of a high heartrate, which you can learn about side effects of that medicine at rxlist.com.
In any case, Blue Cross cannot cancel you over such a thing, if that's why they cut you off, and I would pursue that issue with a health insurance lawyer, to get it back or even to perhaps pay for your hospital care if the cancellation was untimely. In addition, if the attorney finds BC cancelled you because of the incident, I would tell this to your Congressmen and Senators for the U.S. Government. The website I gave you also has a link to where you can report what happened to you to the FDA, which is at fda.gov.

I had a devistating experience after taking Trilyte Preparation. When I picked up the Trilyte Preparation at my doctor's office late in the afternoon on the day before I was scheduled for the colonoscopy, when she handed me the gallon bottle and flavor envelopes, the woman at the desk said, "don't drink anything while taking the solution or afterwards. Spit out rinsings from brushing your teeth and only use a minium of water when taking medication, if any." By 5:30AM the next morning, I had a pulse of 190 and was weak, dizzy and totally incapacitated. My husband drove me to the hospital and I was admitted and treated as having a heart attack. After 2 days and a battery of tests, including an echo cardiogram and angiogram, I was allowed to go home with a $30,000 bill and a clean bill of heath. By the way, Blue Cross cancelled my insurance on the date of my release. Apparently, the prep caused SEVERE DEHYDRATION because I had not consumed any liquids before, during or after.
PLEASE: COMMENTS?

Hi! I left you a PM. Please check it!!!! I haven't heard from you in a day or so.......Where are you???
Smilie
Athleet, I addressed your last comment on our other board.
April, I left you a message on the other board also,
thanks,
smilie
I am honored to be called your distant family. I'll address my test today on our regular board. But to answer your question about the red jello. That was a mistake. I told my wife that I was allowed to eat jello so she bought me cherry which of course is colored red. I ignored my docs instructions and ate one cup. By my next bowel movement it was blood red and scared me to death. That's when I realized why they said not to eat or drink anything red. From that point on I didn't eat any more jello and my bowel started to clear. I had lots of time to get the jello out of me as that was just the beginning of the 48 hours of liquids in and liquids out!

Hi, April....sorry I didn't see your message before you left this morning...........I didn't know what time your appointment was......I left you a message on the other thread last night...as I hadn't heard from you on the PM.
Sounds like the yellow tint is maybe bile. I think you're good to go though. I did the MoviPrep and didn't do the fleet. The doc's office just told me to take the first part at 5pm and the other one at 5am. It did clean me out....didn't you say you were taking that same cleanse too???
Believe me, by the time I got to the hospital, I still had some liquids in me even though I hadn't had anything to drink in several hours, like right after the second cleanse.
I know that you did everything right........just keep the faith.. we're praying for you and right there as you go through your procedure today.
It does take awhile for all the stuff to get cleaned out..as it took awhile to get in there (and don't ever think any question is silly) .
Athleet, I was told not to have any grape or red jello of any kind because the dark color may alter the procedure. But it looks like it was okay with you. I actually had just broth, lemon jello and lots of water and one cup of tea. That really was the most difficult part of the procedure, but well worth it when you consider the alternative. Please let me know the details of your procedure today as well. I always love hearing from you two. I now call you my "distant" family.
I"ll check back later on both threads.

Sorry I missed you before you left. You're fine. You're good and cleaned from the inside out. Don't worry. The doc will think you did a good job. I'm praying for you. Let me know how things went when you get back.

Hey, quick question before I head out. I did a fleet enema last night and again this morning because I wasn't completely clear, still some yellow tinge. Then I read on the box to not take more than one dosage in 24 hours or it can be harmful. Should I be worried? And what should I look out for? I sure hope he still will do my colonoscopy! I don't want to go through this again!
Pray for me. I'm heading out.
Hey April, it's me.
Don't worry. You are doing everything right and it sounds like everything is on track. My discharge didn't run clear until my last bowel movement before my colonoscopy and don't forget I had to flush myself with Fleet for 48 hours! When I started I went from dark, to red (from the jello), to yellow and then finally semi-clear. It just takes a long time because the liquid is cleaning everything from your stomach to your rectum. That's a lot of ground to cover and a lot of cleaning to do!
You're going to be fine. Don't forget the doc told me I did a great job cleaning everything out, and you are too.
I logged on to see how you were and I saw this post.
