I smell of feces and i don't know why when i am so clean

why do i smell of feces?

I am a 25 year old man and i first noticed this problem 6 or 7yrs ago. I was on a bus and someone shouted, 'it smells of sh*t on this bus and then they said it's him over there, pointing at me, my heart beated and i was so embarresed. I felt sick and could not believe it.  Ever since then ive had comments, people holding their noses, looking at me in disgust wherever i go. I am very clean, i showa 1-2 times a day, wash my anus after each bowel movement, I can't smell it most of the time. I tried commited suicide loads of times and neva went out to start off with but after a while you learn to say f**k em and live your life. I have close friends and family who say they can't smell it but strangers tell me. Ive had a camera in my anus/colon to look 4 ne problems and could find anything. I'm going to get tested for TMAU next week, so see what happens. It still bothers me and gets me down but im not alone.

I am so sorry to hear you suffer this.. i have suffered something quite a lot like that. The most painful thing is how others respond to it and the social crucifixion that occurs because you suffer from something they have no clue about. The way people spread things about you.. like being stabbed in the back repeatedly. I've been seeing that people try to believe that i suffer this because im gay, even though ive loved women since kindergarten, or because i farted or because i had diarrhea. It's just brutal. Ugh so familiar. I had suffered from mental illness all my life and the similar social response comes. Like when i found out that others suffer from M.I. i was both tremendously depressed that anyone else has to deal with it, and very comforted knowing that empathy and understanding and common ground is actually possible.

I've always gone to check when i felt it might be happening and never found any physical evidence, but going to check is iron clad evidence for the onlookers. It has never been anything to do with physical movements. It is terrible, makes isolation a healthy thing to do, though pray that you never had been around others when it happened. I tell you, wouldnt wish either thing on my worst enemy. But people enjoy to rip others apart. Stand together, there will be a way to be set free of unexplainable traps like this.

I'm really sorry to hear that. I too suffer from a similar issue.  I am a 27 year old female with uncontrollable gas, constipation and bad breath.  People are not very forgiving of those of us who suffer with these types of issues. I've heard all kinds of comments about smelling like sh**. How nasty I must be to not clean myself and list this continues. I don't' know what to do. I shower twice a day and brush at least 3 times, not to mention I've seen over 5 different specialist no real answers besides having a slight dumping issue between my stomach and intestines. I feel your pain!!!! Please update the blog with your progress.
