What is it?

A couple of years ago I had Galstones, I still remember the pain, they put me on a liquid diet for 3 days and went back for an ultrasound and they were gone, dissolved. Ok good. Over the weekend I had a few bouts of diareha. I went to work on Monday and wasn't feeling normal. I ate breakfast and about a 1/2 hour later I had pain in the upper right under rib almost, it just got worse and worse, I had the shakes, nausea ect. I went to the hospital. They did a ultrasound and didn't see any gallstones tech said they could be too small to see. Fine. Blood work ok, urine ok. Sent me home with Vicodine and anti-nausea meds. It has been 4 days and I am still nauseaus, after a half hour of eating I get pain and nauseaus. I went to my Dr. and she said that I am nauseaus due to lack of a bowl movement. I know this pain I have had it before. I'm scared to get a second opinion due to "it's just constipation". I don't want this to get worse or more frequent. What will it really take for them to diagnose gallbladder. Any ideas as to my situation? What kind of Dr. to see, and why soo much red tape.

I just wanted to update this comment. They found the H. Pylori infection and had to take a heavy dose of antibiotics. Thank goodness I went for that second opinion.

thanks for the feedback. I went to a gastroenterologist today actually and he is going to do a EUS next week. At least its a start to getting a diagnosis. =) and very happy that I didn't get "its just constipation". Once again thanks for the reply.

It is a HIDA scan that shows function of your gallblader. They inject a contrast substance into a vein, and after a while they make a scan of the gallbladder that shows how the contrst was distributed. They can also do a CKK stimulation test to see how your gallbladder is emptying. It is a gastroenterologist you need to visit to have this test.
