I had a KUB done today, where the tech took 4 images of my abdomen: two lying down and two standing up.
The first two images show me standing, and the colon descends several inches, into my pelvis area. When I lie down (second two images) the colon goes back into the normal spot, just under the ribcage.
I have been having a lot of pain, pressure, bloating, discomfort, and a feeling of a 'weight' falling inside my abdomen for several months now. After seeing this X-ray I can correlate the pain and weight sensation with the exact location of my colon when standing.
I'd like to also know if it is normal for the colon to descend this much (several inches) when standing, and if it's not, what surgery should I have to get this fixed?
Thank you
