Left Upper Quadrant Abdominal Pain

I am having severe left upper quadrant abdominal pain. I also have constant diarrhea. I had gastric bypass in 2006. I have been to the ER twice for this because the pain has gotten so bad. They did a CT both times and said that everything was normal. Am I crazy? Something has to be going on to cause this pain. Any suggestions out there would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, Beth, you are not crazy.  I've had this for a year and a half and had my GBS in 2006.  Everything looks to be normal.  I finally had an MRI yesterday and am awaiting the results.  I start Pain Management on Wednesday.  It is progressive...used to happen every couple of months...now it's almost constant.

No one would prescribe pain medicine so now I have ulcers from taking so much motrin which didn't really help much anyways.  It's very frustrating, my tolerance is gone.  I'm here hoping to find answers too.

I do have a candy cane roux limb that is two inches long but the doc doesn't think it's that because "everyone has it."

here's hoping something shows on the MRI.
