Pregnant and C.Diff

Has anyone here been pregnant at the same time that they were getting over C. Diff. I was treated with 1 round of Flagyl and then 1 round of Vancocin. I found out 1 day before the Vanc ended that I was pregnant. Since then, the treatments are done and I have been 13 days without a relapse. However, I have been taking Flora-q (Probiotics 2x a day) and I was taking Florastor (S. boulardii yeast 2x a day). Has anyone else done this? I'm afraid that if I don't stick to the probiotics, I may relapse. My doc told me the Flora-q should be ok, but what about the yeast. Has anyone ever had this while pregnant?

Thanks!! I will look into the Florastor website. I have been using the C. Diff site a ton and they have really good info, just not on pregnancy!

Hi and congratulations on your new baby, AND your 13 days without relapse!  Im sure you have already found the cdiffsupport website, as you sound like a C Diff veteran and I wish you well in your recovery.  I also take Florastor with my vanco taper, but have found my doctor doesnt know much about the use of probiotics.  They have an informative website, florastor.com, and list FAQs - pregnancy being one of the questions.  Also, they have an "email the pharmacist" section that allows you to ask a pharmacist experienced with the product (s. boulardii) specific questions - may help answer your concerns.  Best of luck to you.
