Pain below right ribcage

For several weeks now, whenever I press down with my hand, just below my right rib cage, I've had a stabing pain, it's not severe but, it's not going away so I'm starting to worry. I only feel this "pain" when I press down on it or whenever I sleep on my stomach and lean more towards my right side.

Get your gallbladder checked out. It doesn't mean you have a stone, but it could mean a number of other things, like that maybe its having trouble contracting. Pay attention to what you eat, your side wont hurt right away but rather start hurting later that night. If you eat fatty foods that night and later you have the pain, its totally could be your gallbladder. I had the same problem and it took them forever to figure out it was my gallbladder. They can be tricky little devils.

I have pains around my rib cage several times a week. I can't twist to my left side without pain. The center of my ribcage is very sensitive also. My pain raps around from center to the right side across my back. Could this be a serious issue. Some times I can just move around and it goes away but today it stayed with me all day.

I need more info. Is that the only time it hurts only when you touch it and lay on it? Caude if thats  the case you probably strained it.
