Pain in abdomen and back

Hi,
I am having abdominal pain bit away from belly button on left side. The pain is more at one point. I am having back pain as well on left side, more near the same point as front, but also left side lower back. I have been to doctor and they say I have IBS and mechanical back pain. Somehow I feel there is something else. Can you please guide?

Hi Mammo,
Thanks for the reply. I went to my GP for it. He had sent me for MRI lumbar. And he checked and said I have mechanical back pain i.e; its due to my muscles contracting and stuff. Do you by any chance know what tests the GI and OB-GYN would perform so that I can ask my GP for them?

You need to see a GI doctor for a complete check-up as well as your OB-GYN.  For you to have pain into your back is not IBS, please get checked out.
