Pale Stool

My stool has suddenlty become pale over the last couple of days. Could this be caused by a white colored food like cream of potato soup? I know that pale stool can be an indicator of several illnesses/problems.

It absolutely CAN cause whitish stool.

Two nights ago I made a pot of potato soup using a prepared mix to which I added cubed ham chunks. That was all I had for dinner and I ate 2 large bowls of it.

The next afternoon my BM was almost completely white. I had a small bowl of it last night and today my stool is brown again.
