Hi- I was in the ER 2 weeks ago for the flu, but came out with other issues possibly. I had a CT scan done of my abdomen and wanted to know your thoughts on the report.. This is exactly how it is put...
CT abdomen: Lung baes are unremarkable. Enteris contrast is present in the distal thoracic esophagus. Liver, pancreas, spleen and adrenal glands are unremarkable. Duplicated right renal collecting system ispresent. A nonobstructing tiny nephrolith is present in left kidney. A subcentimeter hypodensity is also noted in the upper pole left kidney, there are no calicified gallstones.
There is apparent mural thickening of several pproximal small bowle loops, a nonspecific finding. This may represent enteritis which could be infectious or inflammatory in nature. There is no bowel dilatation. A duodenal diverticulum is also noted.
So... I have been having left sided pain that radiates to my back at times. Upper [art of my back. Terrible cramping and pain as well. Its upper and lower in the abdomen. I am also on Repliva, for anemia. I have been on this for 12 days. I know iron can do this, but what gets me is the one sided thing. I mean the hospital never mentioned anything about these findings either.
Can I have someones input if they might know. I know we arent Dr's here but any advice would be great!
