Stomach problems!!

I have been sick for a year now.  Last November I was vomiting for days.  My GP Doc said my ab felt strange so she had me go for an emergency CT scan.  They found that I had a paraesophigeal hernia (a hernai that is in your chest cavity with your heart).  They were just sure that it was the problem. Chrismas day (last year) I ended up in ER thinking I was having a heart attack and found that I had vomited so hard that the hernia pulled the rest of my stomach into my chest cavity. I continued to vomit up till the day of my surgery.  After this type of surgery you can NO LONGER vomit....ever.  Hoped it was the problem and fixed, several weeks after my surgery I began to have the most unbearable paid in my stomach and have figured out that it is my body wanting to throw up and I can't. I have severe nausia after ANYTHING goes into my belly and then the pain begins.  I have lost over 40 pounds in a year.  I cannot afford to loose another pound 5'6 and 108 lbs. My GP doc thought it might be stress/depression and put me on antidepressants.  NOT HELPING.  I have an appointment on the 30th of this month to see a GI doc and I am hoping for answers, but after seeing all the posts on here am not feeling very good about finding out what this is!  Anyone with ideas, HELP!!! I and the people around me are becoming very worried about what this could be.  If I do get any answers I will be sure to post, maybe I could help some of the others on here experencing the same things.

Dont eat enough to make me regular and because of medication I have to take softeners, but I guess okay.  Yeah... the internet is a scary place sometimes, when I read all this could be caused by a brain tumor, I stopped looking!!
Thanks for the reply and advice!!!

Seeing a Gastroenterologist is your best bet as this is their specialty.  Don't worry about what you've read on here...it doesn't pertain to you.  A GI doc will get right to the problem.  Have all your questions ready for him....write them down if necessary.  Are your bowels moving okay?
