Strange symptoms...

I am a 33 year old Male, very healthy, 6'2", 175lbs normally.  About a month ago, after a vacation to Galveston Tx, I started experienceing chest and abdominal discomfort.  It started with chest "discomfort", I can't say pain, and lightheadness that I eventually went in for an EKG on.  They found nothing and told me to forget about it.  The following week I noticed the chest discomfort had subsided a lot but I was not having bowel movements although it felt like I should and I totally lost my appetite and craving for my morning coffee or soda.  A week later that seamed to pass and I got a little of my appetite back.  I was told to start taking Metamucil to restore my bowel movements and it's helped a little, but if I don't take it, I don't go.  That was followed by the back of my neck hurting and that felt like a burning sensation or like my muscles were just overused, it was a constant ache or burn.  I also had bloodshot eyes for a few days.  Both those symptons have now gone so I don't know if they were related or not. I still have the occasional chest discomfort that feels more muscle oriented than anything, that is sometimes occompanied with a shortness of breath, and light headness.  When I eat, I get full after only a few bites and it feels like the food is stuck at the top of my stomach.  I belch and yawn a lot.  I've also lost about 8lbs without trying.  Maybe this is due to my lack of eating???  My chest usually feels better if I lay on my stomach.  It's going on 4 weeks now and I'm normally a really healthy guy.  It's starting to make me worry what's up.  Does this sound like a bug I could have caught, or muscle strain, or could it be intestional related?

HI...reaed your post. I recently posted for the first time. My post is titled "Pain lower right quadrant  through to back and down to hip"....I posted a few days ago. My symptoms are not very different from yours. I too, have been having bloodshot eyes, and neck and spine aching along with the symptoms I posted. My post will tell you of the tests I've had thus far....and nothing has been revealed. Your symptoms have been going on for a while which leads me to believe this would not be a muscle strain or common stomach virus. I would see a gastro. dr or go to your primary. The fact that there's constipation and an exaggerated sense of "fullness" after eating small amounts coupled with weight loss makes me think you should pursue the digestive side of things. Good luck...try to read my inital post.
