thanks guys. I am working to prepare myself and they said hopefully I would be home in the same day.
Im pretty sure you asked this question before and i answered. Anyway maybe not. All i remember is being taken down to the surgery room and having the iv's placed and then i got wheeled down to the surgery room and they asked me if i could climb onto the table...and i said yes. And i dont know if i did because i was out at that exact moment. The surgery took about 2 hrs and i just remember trying my hardest to wake up in the recovery rm i kept opening my eyes but it was the hardest thing to do! Its kinda funny. Anyway yeah they do the 3 or sumtimes 4 holes...i have 4, well 3 holes and then the light they use they put in the belly button, which is really weird. That night i was up walking a lil sore but not really much at all...i was discharged the next day and that day was a little worse..once the drugs wore off...Good luck it will be so much relief when thats out!
I had this done 2 years ago. The surgeons will make 3 small incisions in your abdomen and use cameras and tools to remove your gallbladder. You will be sore for a couple of weeks afterwards but if you have been suffering gallbladder symptoms then hopefully you will feel much better. Be very slow adding back in food to your diet - start with liquids and jellos to help alleviate one of the major problems afterwards - diarrhea. Your doctors should tell you this but many tell you to eat what you want.
Hope your surgery goes well.
Meg
Can anyone help calm my fears?
