Upper Right Abdominal Pain

For the last few months (about 10) I have had an ache in the upper right quadrant of my abdomen.
The symptoms I have are as follows.

I get constipated a lot (sometimes it feels like I really have to go and nothing)
Stools sometimes have a thin shape and sometimes are normal
Mucus in stools and sometimes bright blood (traces)
I have a bad cough that seems to come and go but usually occurs if I change position am nervous or just ate (ice cream especially).
The pain from my right side radiates to the right shoulder blade up my back
I have very bad acid reflux (but that is being treated)
I get terrible gas and bloating from everything (belching and flatulence)

Here is the real problem. I have severe anxiety, which can frequently generate all kinds of symptoms. I had an Ultrasound and a CT scan both showed nothing (except Fatty liver). All my blood work comes up clean.
I have no idea what to do at this point. I cannot afford to keep shelling out 200-1000$ per test and keep coming up with nothing the test the doctor has set up for me now is a gallbladder function scan. I would have thought that the CT would have been able to see this if it was an issue. My appetite has not changed nor has my weight I

Could be a symptom of colitis/crohns.

Stools sometimes have a thin shape and sometimes are normal
Could be a symptom of colitis/crohns.

Mucus in stools and sometimes bright blood (traces)
Could be a symptom of colitis.

I have a bad cough that seems to come and go but usually occurs if I change position am nervous or just ate (ice cream especially).
Acid reflux can cause this. And acid reflux can manifest itself at the same time as colitis/crohns.

The pain from my right side radiates to the right shoulder blade up my back
Could be a symptom of colitis/crohns, but can also be related to your gallbladder. I had it, but my gallbladder was fine.

I have very bad acid reflux (but that is being treated)

Also a symtpom of colitis/crohns.

Fatty liver is a serious condition. I guess the way you said it in your post made it look as if you don't think this is a big issue. You need to take fatty liver seriously, it can get worse. It could be the cause of your troubles. Have you been checked for hep b and c? Be sure and check for that so you can rule that out as a cause.

I had all the same symptoms that you have pain in right side
under rib and below.I went to 3 doc finally they drawed blood
again and tested for H-Pylori,it's a helocoptorbactrium,some-
thing like that.It is the main cause of ulsers and cansers in the stomic. It seems like most doc don't know about it.I was treated with a combination of antibotics and other stuff-acid
reducers and pepto-bismo pills for 10 days.It gets rid of the bacteria so the stomic can heal itself over time.I go back shortly to see if I got rid of the bact.

I had my gallbladder removed June 06 due to ejection score of 20 on Hidascan with CCK.  I fall into the no relief after surgery category. I recently had MRCP which showed no abnormalities in the pancreas or biliary tracts.  I am on a low fat diet, antispasmodic, and continue to have pain mid and left sided under rib.  The MRI did confirm "adhesions" and that may be causing the slowed and painful digestive process.  I am also going to try a low residue diet to see if that helps.  Doctors still throw out the IBS or Fibromyalgia possibility at me.  But after reading about Adhesion Related Disorders I feel this can explain a lot of my symptoms.

You know your body best.  I think we can all be accused of an overactive imagination at times.  But I can't help believe all these little signals are meaningful.  Some of us are natural researchers, some intuitively creative, etc...  What matters is you know yourself, your personal truths. Give the gallbladder function test a try.  Ice cream is very high in fat and one of the major trigger foods for this type of gallbladder problem area pain.  I think you have been suffering too long.  Log your symptoms in a journal to help see a pattern or progression of symptoms.  There are some disorders that unfortunately take a while to diagnose thus causing greater expense to we chosen ones.  Try to remain positive and know that we are all here to teach.  Good luck.
