Hello,
I had a complete blood panel done, including liver enzymes, total bilirubin, albumin, alt, ast, gamma gt, something hydrogenase, etc... The whole 9 yards. Everything came up perfect BUT in my urinanalysis, they found a "little bit" of bilirubin. Everything else about the urine is perfect.
I saw my doctor yesterday, and he assures me that considering that all the blood tests are perfect, there is nothing to worry about and that I am FINE. My doctor is usually quite conscientious, so I can not imagine that he would be negligent??
He also palpated my whole abdomen area and said everything was perfect. I feel fine.
Also, I take hydrochlorothiazide (50mg a day). Could that have interfered with the results? ANd if so, why would it interfere with the urine results, but not the blood???
I am not naming all the blood tests that I did, but a lot of them have to do with liver function and they are all perfect, yet I am still worried...
Is it possible to have bilirubin in urine, and normal blood bilirubin? Also, I did the "foam test" at home... (yuck I know). I collected my own urine and shook it to see if there was yellow reluctant foam, which is supposed to indicate bilirubin). There was only white foam, which disappeared right away.
I am quite dehydrated at times (I dont drink enough water, and with the diuretics...) which makes my urine quite dark. It gets a lot lighter when I drink more water. But when I did the test I was quite dehydrated... SO the urine was darker... Could that have influenced the test?
Help!!! I am freaking out!
I am 36 and otherwise healthy... I think!?!?!?!?!
