Of course! You just said that you eat much less as before. And you've still got 0.5 kg. Maybe it's opportunity for you to try out which foods are you comfortable with, experiment a little. This H. pylori event seems like a bless for you.
Thank you for your response my eating habits and quantities have changed drastically after the h pylori. For example I used to be able to eat one BIG MAC supper size meal with an extra QUARTER POUNDER sandwich on the side now I am lucky if I can finish the fries with the meal. I don’t drink soft drinks with every meal like before I am not consuming as much rise as I used to before. I have reduced my red meat intake because I also have a uric acid problem. Can all of this effect my weight gaining?
You'll see about bacteria on the testing you expect.
H. pylori bacteria cannot eat the food you eat, since most of the food in the stomach is not yet digested. It's only connected with how much do you eat.
It's perfectly normal, if yougained only 0.5 kg in two weaks. You still believe that only being overweight is healthy for you? :)
Antibiotics probably severely affected your intestinal flora, maybe this is the cause you have lowered apetite, but this should improve - I think you should just wait for a couple of weeks or so and see how you will feel.
After the h pylori episode my eating habits changed. I am now eating 4 – 5 small meals per day rather than eating breakfast and one huge meal at around 8 pm when I come back from work. I have only gained 0.5 kg over the past two weeks after I finished the antibiotic course. Could it be that the bacteria is still their?
In healthy people, gaining weight is connected with eating. Just this.
