Well, again, cancer is really not the first thing to consider when you have a problem with any organ.
Gastric cancer causes:
- PAIN
- enlarged (palpable) lymph nodes in the neck
- typically: meat smells - you feel aversion to eat meat
- weakness
- gastric cancer is rapidly progressive, your health status would obviously change with time
It's fine you have endoscopy, it's the most appropriate investigation in your case.
Only one thing: if you are bloated and you burp, you still have the reason to believe it's H. pylori. It's breath test for H. pylori which, I believe, is more reliable as the blood test and even biopsy. But first wait to biopsy result.
You've said that rabeprazole helped. Rabeprazole is an anti-acid drug, not antibiotic. From this you can conclude that the problem is increased acid secretion, most probably from gastritis. There are two reasons why drugs like rabeprazole fail after some time: 1. you become resistant to it, and need higher dose 2. That H. pylori which maintains gastric inflammation.
In cancer neither anti-acid drug nor antibiotic would help, since gastric cancer is usually an ulcer which cause an intense pain, and only strong pain killers would help.
if it helps i had a fecal occult blood test done about 2 or 3 weeks ago it came back fine i had an abdominal ultrasound about 2 or 3 months prior to this problem everything was fine no lumps of any abdominal soft tissue sarcoma i dont think cause it would show my blood work was fine hemoglobin count was good everything was fine i get a endoscopy done on monday may the 26th to check again for anything abnormal like h pylori infection or any polyps or lumps i know this sounds stupid but im only 18 and im so worried about this my family dosent have any history of this cancer or any other cancers and i dont smoke or drink i excersise regularly play hockey etc and im sure if i had this cancer i wouldnt be out and about but i dunno
i took a blood test about 3 months ago they found no h pylori infection maybe i should go back in and get checked again
Before cancer, you should think about H. pylori infection of your stomach. It's a simple breath test, which confirms it, treatment is with antibiotics (1-2 weeks).
Morning nausea, bloating and burping are characteristic for H. pylori infection, so think first about this.
