Can hiatal hernias cause pain

Doctor says no.  Have pain right where the hiatus hernia would be.  coincidence or can it be from that?

Doctors are WRONG more than they are right. Remember that. How can we expect to get adequate medical treatment when they barely have time to sit with a patient for less than 10 minutes, diagnose what's going on with you, and write that obligatory prescription? We can't, and we don't. Most doctors are simply professional mouths for the pharmaceutical industry.

I have a hiatal hernial with Schatzki's ring, and the gastro I just fired was in complete denial this was causing ANY of my symptoms, and refused to explore it any further. I only hope I don't run out of money before I find a competent specialist.

I have the hernia and the pain.  Had the pain before I found out I had a hiatal hernia.  So its not Psychosomatic.
