black stool

I HAVE BEEN TAKING A VITAMIN B COMPLEX ABOUT TWO WEEKS AND HAVE NOTICED THAT MY STOOL IS BLACK. IS THIS A NORMAL OCCURRENCE?

Iron supplements can also cause blackening of your motions.  However, if you cease taking these and also follow the course of action sugested by mammo (above)   and the blackness is still present then I would seek medical advice in case you have upper G.I. bleeding which can also cause this effect on your motions.  The medical name is melena (maybe look it up on google and, so that this is not overlooked in your discussion with your doctor, ask him/her "could this be melena?")

Yes, but you may want to stop them from time to time just to see if your stool goes back to it's normal color, just to make sure everything is okay.
