It does not matter what time of day you eat so much as what it is you eat.. if you eat anything with even a remote fat content you run the risk of an attack happening. I had my gallbladder and stones removed a few years back and found the only way to reduce the pain is to eat small portions during the day and make sure the food is reasonably healthy (I personally had to go vegetarian and lived basically on salad sandwiches sad to say but true, until the surgery could be done, it was about all I could handle! Meat the fact content even if lite meat set it off.. dairy same story, definitely NOOOOO cheese either). I find eating lighter and better helps, would not say it prevents it from happening again at when stones travel it still hurts but less chance of it happening as often. I am sure its not exactly what you want to hear but from my experience all that helped.
Try not to eat late at night. gallstones often appear during pregnancy and in some cases they dissapear within a year after childbirth. Try to avoid things which trigger symptoms.
