do i have colon cancer

Im 28 yrs old male, for the past 3 months i have had lower left abdominal cramps, no blood in my stool just soft stools i also have pain in my lower back, i have had a xray done, ct scan done and blood work and everything comes back negative...  please help what could this be?

Ok, thank you! every hospital i go to keep saying it sounds like IBS my GI doctor said it doesnt ssound like Colon Cancer because i dont really have any symptoms or any theres no cancer in my family.. and i dont have any insurance

The problem with colon cancer is the symptoms can vary from person to person and they can be very slight until the condition becomes advanced in some. But from what you're describing, they could mimic a variety of conditions so I can't say with any certainty yes or no. Only your doc can determine that after testing. Sorry to avoid giving you a definitive yes or no, but it would be out of my line of comfort to say yes or no.

The next test to consider would be a colonoscopy. It would probably be a good idea to consider it so that the lining of the colon can be closely examined. If that comes back negative (including biopsies) and no sign of diverticulosis is found, then you may want to consider you could be experiencing bowel spasms and look into taking anti-spasm meds.
