enlarged lymph nodes means = ?

9mm node in gastro esophageal junction and 12mm node gastrohepatic ligament area on CT.  Liver shows fatty involvement.  All other structures unremarkable. GED showed ulceration at the junction of the esophagus and the stomach.  WBC normal, liver enzymes increase on blood work.  Symptoms painful URQ. What would be your best guess as to the underlying problem? Esophageal cancer?

Diseased liver should be ruled out, hepatitis and fatty liver too. Don't jumpt to cancer first, there are many treatable conditions that can cause this.

constant dull ache.  lethargy.

Is your pain constant and does it radiate? What other symptoms besides URQ?
